SCF team member Jack Witek claimed another trophy sized mangrove jack over the weekend! He’s developed a real talented for preparing, targeting and landing these trophy sized fish! Ok.... so I’m going to dribble on a bit but I feel like with this caliber of fish it’s valid! Too think catching one of these fish is a once in a lifetime experience imagine getting two 🤯 this fish was caught out of a system that is very heavily pressured day in day out, it is not often a fish of this age messes up! I have now personally witnessed three mangrove jack caught over the 80cm mark in three different Sunshine Coast estuarine systems.... goes to show they’re still out there as well as how effective catch and release practice are proving!! Big thanks to @timothyjameslovell and @ryan_delongestt for the help with landing and releasing this fish🤘
